Funding
Funding your AI training, in France and beyond.
In France, employee training is largely paid for through pooled sector funds. Here is how it works, in plain English, what we do for you at each step, and what applies if your company is based elsewhere.
What we commit to telling you clearly
OPCO funding depends on your company's eligibility, your OPCO, the funds available and the programme, and is checked case by case before any booking. French public and pooled funders also require the training provider to hold Qualiopi certification. Boost Activity does not currently hold it. In practice: a company can always fund the training from its own budget; OPCO funding is only possible through a Qualiopi-certified training provider that carries the agreement and the application, or once our own certification is obtained. We tell you at quote stage which route applies to your case, and we never promise funding before your OPCO's written decision. Companies outside France are not concerned by OPCO: they fund the training themselves or through their national schemes, which we help you identify without promising anything.
The essentials
Funding in five points.
- 01
What is an OPCO?
A French 'opérateur de compétences': the body that collects part of your company's training levy and funds your employees' training in return. There are eleven, each attached to a group of industry sectors.
- 02
Who is eligible?
Any company established in France with at least one employee pays into an OPCO. Companies with fewer than 50 employees are the main beneficiaries of skills development plan funding. Companies outside France are not covered.
- 03
What is funded?
The course fee, up to a ceiling or flat rate set by the OPCO and within the funds available. Rules differ from one OPCO to another and from one year to the next.
- 04
When to apply?
Before the training starts. The OPCO reviews the programme, the quote and the training agreement, then issues a written decision stating the amount covered.
- 05
What does 'fully funded' mean?
That the amount granted by the OPCO covers the entire course fee. It is possible for some small companies, when the quote fits within the ceiling and the OPCO still has funds. It is not systematic.
The steps
How we support you.
You do not need to become a training-funding specialist: we prepare the documents and guide you through to the decision.
- 01
Identify your OPCO
It depends on your collective agreement. Your accountant or payroll provider will know it. We help you find it.
- 02
Receive the complete file
Detailed programme, objectives, delivery details, quote and training agreement: we provide every document the OPCO asks for.
- 03
Submit the funding request
On your OPCO's online portal, before the training. We tell you which fields to fill in and which documents to attach.
- 04
Get the decision, then train
The decision states the amount covered. The training is then scheduled; at the end, the supporting documents are sent to the OPCO.
Company based outside France?
OPCO funding only applies to companies established in France. Companies in the UK, Ireland, the US or anywhere else can take our courses online (or on site, quoted on request) and fund them from their own budget or through their national training schemes, which we help you identify without promising anything. Courses are delivered in French; contact us to check what is possible in another language.

Frequently asked questions
Funding: your questions.
Can my OPCO fund this training?
Often, yes, if your company is established in France, but it depends on your OPCO, your company's size, the budget available and the programme. Funding is never automatic: it is checked case by case, before the training, and you receive a written decision from the OPCO.
We prepare the required documents with you (detailed programme, quote, training agreement) and tell you under which conditions the request can succeed. We never promise funding before that check.
What does 'fully funded' or 'nothing left to pay' mean?
That the OPCO reimburses or pays the entire course fee. It is possible for some companies, especially those with fewer than 50 employees, when the course and the provider meet the OPCO's conditions and the funding ceiling covers the quote.
It is not systematic: funding depends on the OPCO's available funds and on an hourly ceiling or flat rate, and covers the course fee excluding VAT. Participants' salaries, any amount above the scale and, since October 2026 in most cases, the VAT advance remain the company's responsibility. Nobody can guarantee approval in advance: we give you an honest answer after checking with your OPCO.
Are you Qualiopi certified?
No, not at present. Qualiopi is the French quality certification required for a course to be funded by public or pooled funds (OPCO, CPF, France Travail, self-employed training funds).
In practice: a company can always fund the training from its own budget. OPCO funding is only possible through a Qualiopi-certified training provider that carries the agreement and the application, or once our own certification is obtained. We tell you at quote stage which route applies to your situation, and we never promise funding before the OPCO's written decision.
My company is not in France. How do we pay for the training?
You fund the training from your own budget, or through your country's training or skills schemes where they exist, which we help you identify without promising anything. We do not apply for grants on your behalf outside France, and we never promise one.
You receive a quote excluding VAT, a detailed programme and an agreement, and the course can be delivered online in half-day blocks that suit your time zone. Courses are delivered in French; contact us if you need another language and we will tell you what is possible.
Can I use my CPF? What about FNE-Formation, regional aid or Bpifrance?
The CPF (the French personal training account) only funds courses leading to a certification listed in the national registers and delivered by a Qualiopi-certified provider. Our courses are not eligible for the CPF at present. For companies in France, the relevant route is the skills development plan funded by the OPCO; the self-employed may turn to their profession's training fund.
FNE-Formation has not been funded since 2025 according to budget documents, so we do not offer it. Some French regions support the digital transformation of small businesses under conditions that vary locally. Bpifrance offers subsidised data and AI diagnostics for mid-sized companies, which count as consultancy rather than training. We only mention schemes we have verified at the time of your request, and we point you to the official source for each.
Let's check your options together.
Tell us your country, your sector, your headcount and the course you have in mind. We tell you what is realistic for your case: which OPCO is concerned in France, what to prepare, or what to look at elsewhere.
